Nara is re-indexing the web for personalization. Their first vertical was restaurants. I engaged with them in the beginning of 2013 to help them make their site more usable. We embarked on an intensive evaluation of the product through user testing and then did a rapid redesign and refactoring of their website to work responsively. I also worked on their native iOS and Android apps (phone and tablet). I work closely with their team including their visual designer and at times acted as their product manager. This project had the challenge of introducing a new concept of personalization including social where you can combine your tastes while maintaining a flexible design and consistent brand experience across all screens. I also helped them roll out internationally as well as adding hotels.
